Rountree Brady Insurance Agency Community Cause
Touching Hearts and Saving Lives
January 16, 2017
Our agency wants to bring awareness and education about heart disease and how it can be prevented in our local community. The organization we are partnering with, touches on key issues and raises funds to support research that can help combat the disease. Heart disease is a common issue affecting many in our local community. Nearly 30 percent of deaths every year are linked to cardiovascular disease.
Making Jami’s Home Wheelchair Accessible
We would like to thank all of our customers for their continued support throughout this campaign and a special thank you to Jami and her family for allowing our agency to let others know about her amazing demonstration of courage throughout her process to recovery. Jami Bassett, daughter of Jennifer and Joe Bassett, is an inspiration to us all. She was recently involved in an accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down.
Helping Jami Move Through Life After The Accident
Jami Bassett, daughter of Jennifer and Joe Bassett, is an inspiration to us all. She was recently involved in an accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down, and needs our help. Her home needs a few serious renovations to become wheelchair friendly.
Cause Update:
We live in such a wonderful community. Jami’s donation campaign has raised over $8,000 so far! We are truly inspired by our community, and the support we are able to provide to each other.
Helping Firefighters Fight Cancer
Cancer is the most dangerous threat to firefighter health and safety today. Cancer caused 60 percent of line-of-duty deaths for career firefighters between 2002-2014, according to International Association of Fire Fighters data. The U.S. Fire Administration’s firefighter fatality statistics do not include cancer-related deaths, but it’s a stark reality: Firefighting increases cancer risks significantly for every firefighter.
Since 2005, the nonprofit Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN) has provided assistance and one-on-one mentoring to thousands of cancer-stricken firefighters and their families. FCSN also delivers extensive firefighter cancer awareness and prevention training nationwide.
Join us on our mission to help provide our local firefighters with the assistance and support they need to put the cancer out!
